Hi Henri,

Nice to meet you. Your Light Stroke tutorial had elements of something I've been searching high and low for, and it's a good thing too. Your tutorial gets 5 stars from me for content and teaching ability, but the streaming media took over an hour to load. I think that's very sad, since you have something many of us have been searching for and the streaming, [dripping is more like it] media format isn't doing you any favors. Until now, we've had to rely on "canned artwork" done by other designers and it's too pricey.

If I could only set up the layers right, understood the order and blend modes, doing a slow reveal, similar to how your Light Stroke animated gracefully across the stage is just what we need. After watching the video, I'm not sure if this answers all of my problems, but is the closest I've seen so far. And, it's the first time I've ever seen the Lens Flare used with style and redemption. Until now, I thought it was simply tacky.

You asked for feedback and you're preparing a training CD or DVD. I already own about 8 After Effects Training DVD's, in addition to 30 more covering different aspects of the entire Adobe "Design" Suite. I checked out your gallery and "VOILA!" there were the other elements I'm eager to learn.

I love animated designs that use Fractals. I have a limited library of fractal brushes in Photoshop Extended. They're subtle, classy and beautiful. I suspect they may have been made in Illustrator since they're so clean like a vector graphic, but I'd like to make some of my own and haven't been able to figure it out which program to use. I like the fractals for animated backgrounds because they're crisp and don't torture the eye on large widescreen TVs. As beautiful as most of the canned artwork is, on a large screen TV it tortures the eyes and distracts the audience from the message.

Will any of these skills be taught on your upcoming training DVD? How much are you charging for this training? How soon will it be ready?

Please let me know if my letter makes it through your spam filters. I'm about to take a very long extended trip to gather stock footage, and hope to hear from you before I have to leave.

Respectfully,
Gabby

Hi everyone,

I just downloaded Henri's showreel. I particularly liked the reflection of the road mirrored on the side of the car. Truly AWESOME!!!

Then, of course, my favorite fractals I can hardly wait to learn how you do it.

Hi Den, Thank you a lot for your comments. Can you please tell me which software is "3d strike plugin" made for? is it a plugin for after effects? is it for free?
